(01/13/01) - Bob Wothe holds the current high score with an incredible trashing of the Patriots with the Oilers 133-0. Richard Johnson got 4 or 5 interceptions during the game. If anyone has scored more than 133 points let me know. Although I doubt it is possible.

(4/05/01) - Justin Rangel has the second place score with a win over the Bucs with the Cowboys 117-3. During the game Hendrix got 4 ints.

(03/23/01) - Chris Nichols claimed third place by beating the Colts with the 49ers 117-7.

(01/25/01) - John Mooney scored 116 points with the San Francisco 49ers against the Phoenix Cardinals.

(01/13/01) - Matthew Zinn beat the Rams with the Falcons 114-0.

(01/13/01) - Josh Houle scored 110 points in the second round of the playoffs with the Bills against the Dolphins. That is very impressive considering the Dolphins are a good team and usually play-off games are much harder than regular season games.

(01/13/01) - Matt Sterling - Beat the Colts with the Lions 110-0. The Colts finished the game with 0 yards of offense and Matt had 6 safeties during the game. Very impressive.

(11/15/00) - OK, I thought my story was ridiculous, but apparently this guy plays tecmo a lot more than I do. A man named Ken Berman, on two seperate occasions beat the computer 105-0! Once as the 49ers against the Colts, and again against the Colts with the Raiders. I guess I will have to practice more and beat someone 106-0! If anyone else has higher score please let me know.

(10/26/00) - Today I played the most ridiculous game of tecmo ever. I beat the Redskins in the regular season with the Giants 104-0. The Redskins had 4 yards rushing, 0 yards passing and no first downs. With LT I got 24 sacks and 9 safeties. In addition to that I returned 2 kick-offs for touchdowns with Meggett. I also blocked a field goal. It was incredible. True story.

(01/13/01) - Matt Davis beat the Patriots with the Steelers in regular season play 102-0. He claims Rod Woodson was in such peak condition that he would safety the computer on every kick-off.

***Personal Challenge to all Tecmo Players***

This is the only record that I hold and am proud of. If anyone can beat it let me know. Here are the rules you must adhere to though: 1. No resetting during a game, although you can reset before a game to get your returner back. 2. No changing the computers plays or players, although this really won't help anyways. Here is the challenge: I played a season with Gil Fenerty of the Saints and attempted to get as many kick-off return touchdowns as possible. I did everything possbile, allowed the other team to score on me, then when I got the ball I would run to the one yard line and then the next play kick a field goal. Needless to say, I ran a lot of kick-offs back. So many in fact, that even though Gil was out 3 games due to injuries I managed to rack up 46 kick-off return TD's. The most I've ever heard of. And I challenge anyone to beat that record. I also have the record of getting 6 kick-off return TD's in one game. Also keep in mind that the game stops counting after 31 kick-off returns and after 2047 return yards. So after that you have to count by hand. I forget how many return yards I got, but it was atleast 6000.
